To begin this healing journey, it’s important to understand how anxiety works and what fuels it beneath the surface. When we bring mindful awareness to these inner patterns, we can begin to navigate our way toward healing and reclaiming our lives.
Understanding Anxiety
Anxiety often stems from past experiences that were too overwhelming to process. Our subconscious mind develops coping mechanisms to protect us from re-experiencing those painful emotions. These behaviours may manifest as irrational fears, persistent worry, procrastination, or negative thought spirals. Understanding this underlying mechanism is the first step toward lasting change.
Root Causes of Anxiety
Anxiety can be triggered by many factors, including unresolved trauma, negative self-perceptions, and ongoing external stressors. These experiences often lead to feelings of inadequacy, shame, or self-doubt—creating a cycle of fear and avoidance.
