HYPNOTHERAPY

How Does Hypnotherapy Work?

To understand how hypnotherapy helps us release blocks and achieve lasting happiness, it’s essential to explore the difference between the conscious and subconscious mind.

Did you know that your Conscious Mind only accounts for 5-10% of your total mind power? It handles tasks like:

  • Logical thinking and planning
  • Concept of time
  • Short-term memory (24-48 hours)
  • Willpower and decision-making

While the conscious mind helps you set goals and make plans, the Subconscious Mind—which controls 90-95% of your mind’s power—holds the key to your habits, beliefs, and emotions. The subconscious is responsible for your survival systems, and if it perceives any change as a threat, it can override your conscious desires and sabotage your progress.

This is where hypnotherapy comes in. By working with the subconscious mind, we can unlock its potential, release old patterns, and align it with your conscious goals for real, lasting transformation.

Hypnotherapy is a safe and effective tool I use to help you make lasting, positive changes in your life. Experience the power of working with your subconscious mind for true transformation.

Understanding the Power of the Subconscious Mind

If you’ve been trying to make changes in your life using willpower alone, you may have noticed how hard it can be. The subconscious mind, which controls 90-95% of our unconscious, automatic thinking, habits, and emotional responses, often works against your conscious goals. Unlike the conscious mind, which is logical and goal-oriented, the subconscious mind runs on long-term memories, beliefs, and habits that can feel irrational and sometimes sabotage your efforts.

For example, have you ever tried to start a healthier habit only to feel like you’re being sabotaged? That’s your subconscious at work, protecting you from what it sees as a threat—like the fear of change. The subconscious doesn’t understand what’s good for you; it simply operates based on past experiences, often triggering negative emotions like anxiety or fear when you’re stepping out of your comfort zone.

But here’s the good news: Hypnotherapy works by tapping into the subconscious mind, helping you overwrite old patterns and beliefs that no longer serve you.

By guiding you into a relaxed, daydreamy theta brainwave state—much like a guided meditation—we can access the subconscious and integrate new, supportive beliefs that align with your current goals. Unlike positive affirmations that rely on willpower and logic, hypnotherapy speaks the language of the subconscious—feelings and imagination—to create lasting change.

Imagine how much faster you could achieve your goals—whether in your relationships, career, or personal growth—by having your subconscious mind support you instead of sabotaging you.

Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool that allows you to make real, lasting change. Ready to start your journey?

COUNSELLING

My Counselling Modality: Healing that’s Active, Present, and Rooted in Self‑Love

Counselling with me is much more than simply reflecting on your past—it’s about meeting what shows up in your life now, building trust in your inner knowing, and growing stronger through real action and felt experience.

Here’s how it often feels and what we do together:

  • You come in with something real from your week—something that challenged you, something confusing or painful. We talk through it, you share what you noticed in your thoughts, emotions, maybe even in your body.

  • I ask about what you did since our last session: the mindful work, the tools, the Freedom Through Mindfulness practices. What helped? What felt lighter? What you’re proud of. We affirm those wins, because they build safety and self‑trust.

  • We explore what lies beneath the surface: past beliefs, emotional patterns, and survival programs — those times when your subconscious reacts out of old fear instead of moment‑to‑moment choice. We don’t skip over the root causes — because when you recognize where those roots come from, you can change not just what arises, but what grows from the ground up.

  • You receive tools: practical practices to apply in difficult moments; awareness practices you can use when emotions are activated; reframing; gentle inquiry. We imagine how you might respond differently next time—even practice it mentally or in session—so that your subconscious can feel what a new response might be.

  • Part of the work is cultivating a safe space—both in our sessions, and in your daily awareness. Through working with the tools and your mindfulness practice, you begin to affirm to yourself: “It is safe to feel. To be me. To show up.” That internal safety is crucial. When you feel emotions arise, you don’t have to push them away, mask them, or dissociate—you can stay with them, let them speak, allow them because they’re wanting your love, resolution, and acceptance.

Because of this, over time people often experience:

  • True self‑acceptance: not just accepting parts of themselves they already like, but being able to welcome the hard parts, the shame, the fear—even as they grow.

  • Self‑love and confidence grow naturally: as you see yourself handling challenges differently, as you see growth in your responses and trust yourself more.

  • Emotionally, less overwhelm: you notice earlier when old patterns are triggered, you use your tools, you navigate with more ease rather than getting lost in reaction.

  • A stronger sense of alignment: what you believe, what you feel, what you do begin to match more often. Your choices come more from what you truly value rather than old coping strategies.

This kind of counselling is grounded and transformative because it blends awareness, feeling, action, and subconscious experience—all aimed at helping you embody your truth, reclaim your strength, and live more freely.

MINDFULNESS-BASED THERAPY

What is Mindfulness and How Can It Benefit Us?

When we face unhappiness, pain, or challenges in life, understanding how these issues arise is the first step toward lasting solutions. Mindfulness is the practice of paying attention in a focused and intentional way, allowing us to be fully present with our thoughts, body sensations, feelings, emotions, and the environment. By seeing the bigger picture, we can respond more effectively and make meaningful changes.

In my approach, we build on this foundation by guiding you through personal growth, goal-setting, and life-direction strategies—key elements of life coaching. Together, we’ll take mindful, purposeful steps toward a more fulfilled life.

How Mindfulness Helps Us Achieve Our Goals

Mindfulness is essential for achieving our goals because it helps us stay present in the moment. Change happens only when we focus on the present—where our power to act and make deliberate choices lies. Without being present, we risk continuing on autopilot, driven by subconscious habits, thoughts, and beliefs that can limit our progress.

As the saying goes, “If you keep doing what you have always done, you will keep getting what you have always got.” Mindfulness helps break this cycle by increasing awareness and empowering us to take purposeful, meaningful action toward our goals.

Mindfulness Starts With The Body

Body awareness is the foundation of mindfulness. Our physical body is not just how we experience the world; it’s also like an antenna, constantly picking up signals from the environment that communicate our current state relative to where we want to go. It’s a feedback system between our inner and outer experiences, guiding us toward harmony and growth if we stay tuned in. Ever heard the phrase, “Follow your heart”? Your heart acts as the bridge between your higher self and your physical experience, guiding you toward your life’s purpose. It knows the way, but it requires paying attention and self-discipline to truly hear and follow its wisdom.

Awareness Practice Builds Mindfulness

I help people connect more deeply with their emotions and understand why they do what they do. This expands their mind-body-spirit connection. I don’t just teach simple tools to cultivate mindfulness; I also help clients understand how their mental and emotional patterns shape their self-perception and beliefs about what they can and can’t do. The process involves recognizing limiting beliefs and habits, learning how to release them, and building a more supportive belief structure aligned with their goals.

Mindfulness Means More Happiness

The more present, accepting, and loving we are with ourselves and our feelings, the more curious, excited, and motivated we become. When we stop numbing ourselves to uncomfortable emotions or the things we don’t want to do, life opens up with amazing possibilities. By saying “yes” to life as it is, including our feelings and emotions, instead of resisting it, we create space for acceptance and growth. Life becomes a friend when we embrace the present moment with open arms.

It’s incredible what happens when we stop getting in our own way—and how much more we can enjoy life’s surprises when we say “yes” instead of “no.”

EMOTIONALLY FOCUSED THERAPY

Emotionally Focused Therapy helps us reconnect with our emotions and learn how to process them fully.

Think of it this way: Our parents did the best they could, but they were only able to support us based on their own experiences. If they couldn’t help us fully accept, experience, and express our feelings, we may have learned to push away difficult emotions instead. This often led to the development of subconscious coping strategies that resisted or avoided these emotions, leaving us without the confidence to embrace what we felt.

Emotionally Focused Therapy: Understanding and Processing Our Emotions

If we’ve learned to push away what we feel instead of accepting, experiencing, and processing it, we may have developed the habit of non-acceptance—both of ourselves and our emotions. This leads to a lack of self-acceptance and an inability to express emotions in healthy ways. As a result, we may struggle to build true self-confidence, self-worth, self-esteem, and self-love. Instead, we may form limiting beliefs like:

  • I am not good enough
  • I am a bad person
  • I am unworthy

Avoiding or suppressing these painful emotions doesn’t make them disappear. They accumulate in our psyche, cellular memory, and energy field, and when life gets too stressful, they resurface, often overwhelming us with emotional imbalances such as:

  • Anxiety
  • Panic attacks
  • Negative thoughts
  • Feelings of shame or depression

If these unresolved emotional imbalances persist, they can eventually manifest as physical symptoms or disease, as the body tries to get our attention, signaling the need for change to realign us with balance and harmony.

Rebuilding the Foundation of Self-Acceptance

Emotionally Focused Therapy focuses on rebuilding the core foundation of self-acceptance. By learning to process emotions and feelings in a healthy way, we can release old coping mechanisms that once helped us avoid emotions but now hinder our growth. When we embrace our emotions, life opens up in ways we’ve never experienced before, and we become free to pursue new goals with confidence and clarity. This is the core of my Freedom Through Mindfulnessapproach, which integrates mindfulness practices to help you manage emotions and create lasting transformation.

Building Emotional Competence

Through Emotionally Focused Therapy, I will guide you to:

  • Understand how and why limiting beliefs, perceptions, and coping behaviors developed, and how they may have once served you in situations where you lacked support.
  • Learn to process your feelings in a healthy way, rather than suppressing them or letting them resurface in unhealthy ways.
  • Build emotional competence, so you feel confident and capable of handling any emotion or situation.
  • Connect with your true self, allowing you to express your emotions with confidence through your actions and words.

How Limiting Beliefs Are Formed

Many of our limiting beliefs are rooted in emotionally challenging experiences during childhood. Our parents, even with the best intentions, may not have always been able to provide the support we needed. As a result, we may have learned to disconnect from our emotions and suppress our true selves in order to meet expectations or avoid discomfort.

This lack of support can result in beliefs like:

  • I’m not good enough
  • I’m not worthy
  • I’m a bad person
  • Everything is my fault

As we internalize these beliefs, we begin to disconnect from our true selves and create a false identity built on survival mechanisms. Over time, this creates stress, anxiety, negative thoughts, and a lack of self-acceptance.

Subconscious Programs and Survival Systems

Our subconscious programs and survival systems were created to help us cope with challenging situations, but they often outlive their usefulness. These programs don’t know when their job is complete—they simply keep running, even when they’re no longer serving our needs.

Think of it like a company that used to make a popular product but kept producing it long after it became obsolete. The company continues its processes without realizing that a new product or approach is needed. It’s only when they update their methods that they experience success.

Similarly, our subconscious programs must be updated to align with our current goals and circumstances. Once we realize that the old survival mechanisms are no longer needed, we can redirect that energy toward creating a new, empowered future.

SPIRITUAL GROWTH

Spiritual Growth: Embracing Your True Self

Who are you beneath all the thoughts, memories, and judgments of your past? What is the essence that animates life through your body? What motivates you to release unhappiness and embrace dreams, fulfillment, and joy?

Living in alignment with our soul’s calling is an entirely different experience from living on autopilot, shaped by external influences, societal expectations, or past conditioning. To live by our soul’s calling is to embrace who we truly are, free from the limitations imposed by the past.

It’s about learning to accept ourselves unconditionally, even when the voice in our head criticizes everything we see in the mirror. True spiritual growth begins when we shift our perspective, allowing love and acceptance to guide us, rather than judgment or self-doubt.

Walking a spiritual path can look like:

  • A willingness to be with what you feel and meet all that arises, without resistance.
  • The desire to peel off the layers of false perceptions shaped by habitual thinking, others’ expectations, and past experiences.
  • The need to stop stifling yourself and instead speak up when something is needed.
  • The desire to release who you have always known yourself to be, in order to follow the guidance of your heart and inner calling.
  • Letting go of the belief that your happiness depends on others, and instead cultivating it from within.
  • Choosing to let go of the need to control life, and opening yourself to faith and trust, knowing you are part of a greater source that will guide you exactly when and where you need to go.

There comes a point in many people’s lives where they realize they’ve spent their entire existence trying to be something they’re not—and they can no longer do that to themselves.

This can manifest in:

  • Wearing a mask that hides who you truly are.
  • Constantly trying to fit in or conform.
  • Acting inauthentically in an effort to be liked or accepted.
  • Being afraid to step forward, thus never doing anything truly fulfilling.
  • Pushing yourself hard, trying to succeed enough to finally feel “good enough.”
  • Giving yourself away in relationships, hoping someone will love you for who you are.
  • Perhaps living a seemingly perfect life, yet still feeling like something is missing.

In every case, there’s an inner voice calling out, urging change—or many changes.

Living by our soul’s calling is an entirely different experience than living by automatic default, shaped by how you were told, taught, or pushed to be. It means being willing to accept yourself unconditionally, especially when the voice in your head criticizes who you are as you look in the mirror.

To walk this path requires a true spiritual warrior’s courage: someone willing to follow the guidance of their inner voice, to get back up each time they fall, regardless of what others or the negative voice in their head might say. It’s about doing our best to notice when something doesn’t feel right, taking the time to contemplate how to shift it, and then following through with the new insight, even when it feels impossible.

Every time we rise, take a deep breath, and ask, “What now?” we are learning to love ourselves just a little more. Over time, this builds a foundation so strong that no storm can knock you off course.

What does it mean to walk a spiritual path?

A spiritual path isn’t always easy, but it is the most worthwhile journey we can embark on. It is about learning how to love and accept ourselves exactly as we are. When we embrace this, we no longer engage in behaviors that harm us. We begin to listen to our inner voice, acting in alignment with our true self, and we treat others and the world around us with that same love and kindness.

When we act out of alignment, we reflect on our actions, learn from them, and choose to act in a way that feels true to us. Even when we stumble, we forgive ourselves, make adjustments, and continue growing. Ultimately, what matters most is not how perfectly we walk the path, but that we continue to move forward, open to the lessons that each moment brings.

The truth is, spiritual growth doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s hard to walk this path alone, as challenges will inevitably arise. That’s why asking for help along the way—learning from those who have walked this path before us—is vital.

I am here to help you reconnect with the wisdom within your own heart, to provide simple mindfulness tools to navigate the inevitable setbacks and distractions that arise as we undergo profound changes in our lives.

If my words resonate with you, know this: At some point on your spiritual journey, you will realize that you cannot return to the old unconscious ways. You will find an immense sense of awe for who you’ve become and excitement for who you are becoming.

There comes a point when spiritual and personal growth becomes not something you do, but who you are. It becomes your nature to continue evolving.

When we focus on the internal wisdom within our hearts—rather than seeking happiness externally—we unlock our true source of power. It’s like searching for your car keys outside, while they are already inside your home. The key to your happiness is already within you, waiting to be discovered.

When we look outside for what we already possess, we only see projections of unhappiness—stressing us out to the point where we are finally pushed to look within, where the real source of power resides.

I am honored to walk with you on your journey, as you become part of my journey. Together, we create a new world, free from judgment and fear. When we free ourselves from these limiting beliefs, we create space for others to do the same.

ENERGY HEALING

Modern quantum science has demonstrated that everything is energy, and the only thing separating energy from matter is frequency and vibration rates. Albert Einstein’s famous equation, E = mc², proved this concept long ago. I will explain energy healing using the language of science, showing how we can leverage it to support our mind and body, realigning them back to their natural state of ease and harmony.

Think about this: If you cut your finger, your body instinctively knows how to heal it, restoring it to its proper state—not someone else’s finger, but your own. Each of us carries a unique energetic blueprint of perfect health, which developed from conception and continues to guide us as we grow into the person we are today. When our mind, body, and spirit are fully balanced, we are aligned with this natural energetic blueprint.

However, when one of these systems becomes out of balance for an extended period, it can disrupt the other systems and create disharmony. This imbalance can then become our “new normal,” misaligned with our body’s original blueprint of health. Energy healing can help us reconnect with that original state of balance, restoring harmony within ourselves.

Many years ago, a study using Kirlian Photography captured the energy field of objects, showing that a raw vegetable has a much more vibrant energy aura compared to a cooked one. When part of the vegetable was removed, the energy blueprint of the whole form remained visible, suggesting we have a unique energy signature. This also explains why someone who has lost a limb can still feel phantom sensations. Energy healing taps into this baseline energy blueprint, helping restore balance and align the body with its natural state of harmony.

To understand how energy healing works, let’s look at the concept of energy waves. When you drop a rock into the water, it creates a visible wave pattern. This is an example of energy displacing water, just like a radio wave being transmitted from a station to a receiver. When you tune into the right frequency, you can hear the sound – it’s the same principle that governs how energy moves and interacts with our body and mind. If you want to increase the sound, you turn up the volume, which boosts the energy of that frequency.

Now, imagine how this relates to your health. When you’re feeling positive and someone with a negative energy enters the room, you might feel your mood shift, draining your energy. This is a destructive interference pattern. Conversely, when you’re around someone whose energy resonates with yours, you experience a constructive interference pattern, amplifying the positive energy. This energy dynamic reflects how our bodies respond to interactions with others.

Your physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies all vibrate at different frequencies. When they are in sync, they maintain balance, fostering vitality and growth – this is called homeostasis. However, when negative emotions or stress interfere, the body shifts into survival mode (fight or flight), disrupting this balance. In this state, the systems of the body work against each other, creating destructive interference patterns, and leading to imbalance.

Energy healing helps realign these systems, restoring balance by channeling healing energy that resonates with your baseline energy blueprint. Think of it as offering your energy body a flashlight, helping it reconnect with its natural state of harmony. This process supports healing at the physical, emotional, and mental levels, enabling the body to regain its natural state of balance.

Energy healing is facilitated by the practitioner’s focused intention. Through hypnotherapy and guided meditations, I help open your creative mind and guide you through energy healing sessions. Not only will you experience the benefits during the session, but you will also learn techniques for self-healing, creating a personal energy healing routine that supports your goals and long-term health.
